The mission of the Snyder County District Attorney’s Office is to protect the people of Snyder County by seeking accountability for criminal offenders and seeking justice for their victims.
Mike Piecuch has been Snyder County’s District Attorney since 2010. DA Piecuch previously served as a prosecutor at the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. His legislative and policy experience includes service as the executive director of the Pennsylvania District Attorneys Association, as chief of staff to Speaker Dennis M. O’Brien of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, as majority chief counsel to the PA House Judiciary Committee, and as legal counsel to the Minority Leader’s Office at the Massachusetts House of Representatives. DA Piecuch received his undergraduate degree in Government and American Studies from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. He earned his law degree with honors from Albany Law School in Albany, NY.

The Snyder County District Attorney’s Office prosecutes all adult and juvenile cases, assists crime victims, provides legal guidance to police, and promotes crime prevention initiatives in the community.
